You may be worried that you are having to repeat things regularly to your child, that they are struggling to hear at nursery or school or that the television is turned up really loud. Hearing loss, even if temporary, can have a significant negative impact on behaviour, tiredness levels, attainment at school and, in some cases, speech progression.

If you have concerns about your child's hearing we can help. We offer full diagnostic assessments of children's hearing from the age of three years old and above.

 

The assessment includes taking a full history, age-specific pure tone audiometry testing using elements of play if appropriate, speech perception testing, a full explanation of the results and full report (which can be sent to your GP and any other healthcare professionals if required).

We work closely with Dr Montague from Children's ENT Edinburgh at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital. We can refer your child to her if further intervention from an Ear Nose and Throat consultant is needed.

The Hearing Health Clinic is a recognised provider of audiology services with all the main insurance companies. All fees are kept within their guidelines.
